Achievements

Congratulations to Rodney Reeves who recently took FIRST PLACE in the countywide "Creative Writing" category of "Reflection Competition" at the middle school level. Rodney has now been nominated to compete on the State level in Georgia, and if he wins, he will compete at the national level. This young emerging academic star captured the first place with his original poem entitled: "I'm Really Happy when...” Rodney is a seventh grader at the Dekalb Elementary School of the Arts (DESA) at Hooper Alexander. He is the son of proud parents Roy J. Reeves and Annie Reeves of the Stone Mountain area near Atlanta, Georgia. Bravo! Rodney, the way to go... Keep up the excellent path of being a winner...
